First, I want to say thank you for taking this journey with me. I can’t wait to do this program together! But more importantly, I want you to thank yourself! Did you know that less than 15% of people work out at least 3 times a week? And of the people who start any kind of fitness program, 70% never finish? So yeah, you’re kind of a big deal!
Now, let me give you a tour of the program so you know what’s in store for you.
Step 1: Print the PBYP Calendar below. This is for you to see exactly how far you’ve come and cross out each day as you complete it.
Step 2: Print your PBYP Food Guide. This will help you make the best nutritional decisions on a regular basis. PBYP is about creating sustainable habits that don’t end when you’re done with these 8 weeks.
Step 3: Join the Members Only Facebook group! Honestly I think this could be one of the biggest keys to success in the program. There will be challenges, fun conversations and it’ll be a supportive, kind environment with plenty of other people just like you, who believe in putting health first without judgment or rudeness.
Step 4: Get ready for your classes! We’ll be doing a series of 12 classes that have been designed and strategically organized to give us the best possible results. We’ll alternate body focus and intensity to cause muscle confusion which assures that our muscles don’t get too used to the motions or difficulty of any particular class. This way, we keep getting peak benefits from every single one.
Step 5: Take note of your 4 bonus classes that you can use when you need a little extra or when you don’t have time for a full flow.
Step 6: Get acquainted with mantras! We’ll be using them a lot here and making them way less complex than you may have seen in other places.
The Perfect Body Yoga Program isn’t like most other workouts where once you’re in you’re on your own. I’m going to be here every week to motivate you, encourage you and set you up for the following week. It’s means the world to me that you’re here and I can’t wait to get started. So, without further ado, let’s get started!
A mantra is an intention or a phrase that you verbalize to aid your concentration and help connect you to yourself on a deeper level. You’ll notice that we’ll be using several different mantras throughout the Perfect Body Yoga Program, and for good reason! These aren’t in Sanskrit, so they’re each immediately meaningful and applicable to your practice as well as your daily life. The PBYP has an overarching mantra of, “I am perfect exactly as I am. I am exactly where I need to be,” which you’ll hear at the end of each yoga class. Additionally, each week’s meditation will have its own separate dedicated mantra to build on our physical practice.
